Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) lands available for hay and grazing
In an ongoing effort to manage DUC-held properties as waterfowl and wildlife habitat while also
assisting Saskatchewan livestock producers meet their need for adequate forage, DUC has again
opened its tender process for lands to hay and graze.
Each year, we make available roughly 75,000 acres of hay and pasture, including several
quarters of land currently up for management in your RM.
Interested ratepayers can visit ag.ducks.ca/program/land-to-hay-or-graze/ for a complete list of
available land and to download and complete the 2025 Hay Sales Agreement. Completed forms
can be uploaded via the above link or emailed to du regina@ducks.ca.
Considerations for bidders:
1. Cutting may start on or after July 15, 2025.
2. All hay must be removed from the property by October 15, 2025.
3. The bidder will leave a minimum of 4 inches of stubble on property.
4. Only one cut of hay is allowed.
5. The bidder must provide payment in full to DUC prior to cutting.
2025 Coyote Bounty in effect until May 1, 2025
An incentive of $20/set of 4 paws
Paws must be packaged in a clear bag per set, if they are not individually bagged the R.M. of Mountain View No. 318 will not accept the sets for payment
Collections and forms must be dropped of at the R.M. Shop at 100 Veteran Avenue, Herschel, Sask. Payment will be made at the end of the program.
Drop offs will be scheduled once per week on Wednesdays from 1pm-4pm.

The form must contain the land location, landowner name and their phone number where the coyotes were taken.
This bounty applies only with the R.M. of Mountain View No. 318.
Please provide a Saskatchewan driver’s license for proof of Saskatchewan residency.
The program will remain in place from now until March 31, 2025
R.M. Council can terminate this program at any time.

Obsolete Collection Campaign 2018
Do you have any unwanted pesticides or livestock medications? Obsolete collection is coming to Saskatchewan from October 1 – 5, 2018!
Safely dispose of unwanted or obsolete agricultural pesticides and livestock medications – no charge! Take them to the following locations on the dates noted below between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program Deadline Extension
The Saskatchewan Agriculture Ministry made an important announcement late last week. “With this sustained stretch of dry weather, applications to Saskatchewan’s Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program (FRWIP) will be considered until September 30, 2017, past the original August 1 deadline”.
FRWIP projects must still be completed and claims submitted by February 15, 2018.
